shocks and changes we need to keep us sane

On Looking up by Chance at the Constellations

Robert Frost

You'll wait a long, long time for anything much
To happen in heaven beyond the floats of cloud
And the Northern Lights that run like tingling nerves.
The sun and moon get crossed, but they never touch,
Nor strike out fire from each other nor crash out loud.
The planets seem to interfere in their curves
But nothing ever happens, no harm is done.
We may as well go patiently on with our life,
And look elsewhere than to stars and moon and sun
For the shocks and changes we need to keep us sane.
It is true the longest drouth will end in rain,
The longest peace in
China will end in strife.
Still it wouldn't reward the watcher to stay awake
In hopes of seeing the calm of heaven break
On his particular time and personal sight.
That calm seems certainly safe to last to-night.

those times in our lives

Graduation
... saying goodbye
The loss of a Friend
... a Loved one
Going away
... coming back, away from Home
Missing you
... still Loving you
Needing space
... feeling Alone
Finding out
... crying out
Fighting war
... innocent Lives
... Running out

I wonder, is there anything I'm going to miss?
I wonder how it's going to be
when you don't know me.

to all of the people who have lost a friend loved one
time goes on. we'll move on. but for now. we don't know how.
even when. the tears begin. we will find. you in our mind.

why yes i do know the time

being sick and not being able to sleep, which ultimately equals an unhealthy consumption of caffeine and drugs, doesn't help much with school..

Spring and Fall: To a Young Child

Margaret, are you grieving
Over Goldengrove unleaving?
Leaves, like the things of man, you
With your fresh thoughts care for, can you?
Ah! as the heart grows older
It will come to such sights colder
By and by, nor spare a sigh
Though worlds of wanwood leafmeal lie.
And yet you will weep and know why.
Now no matter, child, the name:
Sorrow's springs are the same.
Nor mouth had, no nor mind, expressed
What heart heard of, ghost guessed:
It is the blight man was born for,
It is Margaret you mourn for.

React

There are times when you're not sure how to react.
If you should be scared, upset, lost.. accepting.
Time where you feel like something has happened before.
Time where you feel like they couldn't be true.
But what about those true times?
The ones you can't get yourself to react to.
The ones where there are no games, lies, dreams.
Only facts.
You feel like you should be scared.
Yet, you feel nothing.
Others are scared, upset, lost.. but then you..
You just accept it.

How do you react to bad news, times.. you never thought would happen to you?
You say to yourself.. "it's okay, they aren't certain yet.." but something still feels wrong.
It's almost as if you know the ending to this news.
You know the final step.

What happens when you don't react?
When you don't feel scared, upset or lost like the others.
Still you feel like you know the end..
..But you can never know or see whats in between.
What happens from now to the end.
How come we can't see the next step?

This is how I'm feeling at the moment. I Found out something today.. I'm hoping, or .. I'm wishing I could understand or react to it. But, I just don't know how. Can't get myself to.

Time it too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity.
~Henry Van Dyke~
